Bringing Biscuit Home

The animal shelter echoed with a chorus of loud, booming barks. Sarah and Jess walked slowly down the long row of wire doors. Right in the middle walked Owen, his hands tucked into his red hoodie pockets as he peeked into every single space.

Behind one of the doors sat a tiny beagle puppy. When he saw Owen stop, the puppy didn't just wag his tail. He wiggled his entire body, from his floppy ears all the way down to his paws.
